This is a work in progress, entitled "I know the voices dying with a dying fall". I don't really know how i feel about it right now. I guess i need to finish it before I start to make adjustments over the whole painting. I guess I don't really know how to feel about this painting because when I started it, I was upset, and I think that feeling has attached itself to my painting. I hope I begin to like it more as I finish it.

very interesting concept. I'd like to see this when it's finished. Great work, Megan
ReplyDeleteI also am interested in seeing this piece finished. I always find you work intriguing. Although, I am going to have to re-read the poem so that it will officially make sense :))
ReplyDeleteI don't think I mentioned how much that yellow that you don't like is really growing on me ... i like it =) And I love the meaning behind this painting as well: it depicts to me the continuous falling of man kind but it is within beauty ... if that makes any sense =)
ReplyDeleteI think it'd be really cool if you made the "fall" look more watery, like rushing rapids with foamy waves. That's what I am reminded of when I see this... I think of the time I went hiking up in Tennessee and fell into a river. I can really relate to that guy being pulled along the current. haha
ReplyDeleteI like that this piece is still open for ones own interpretation. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of this one, and think it is a very good start. Like everyone else, I can't wait until it's finished:)
ReplyDeleteGreat start. You always seem to have a deep meaning in your work.. I feel like you having that connection helps you a lot. Keep it up, can't wait to see it finished. ^_^
